Fr. Mark Gazin, CSB | Parochial Vicar

Fr. Mark was born in Los Angeles, California but grew up in Vancouver, BC. He is the oldest of four children – a brother and two sisters.

He met the Basilians at UBC, professed his vows in 1985 at Ste. Anne’s in Detroit and was ordained to the priesthood in 1990.

His first appointment was to St. John the Baptist in Amherstburg, followed by eleven years of university campus ministry at UWO (London), UST (Houston, TX) and NMSU (Las Cruces, NM).

On returning to Canada, he served in parish ministry in Owen Sound, Toronto, Edmonton, and Vancouver for fourteen years.

Since 2016, he has been in Ottawa completing a canon law degree and will serve part time with the London Diocesan Tribunal and part time with the parish.

He likes cooking good food, drinking espresso, and enjoying camping, cycling, kayaking, and skiing.
