Assumption Church was built in 1842 on land donated by the Huron people 252 years ago. Assumption Parish is the oldest parish in Canada west of Montreal. The church was closed 5 years ago but hopes to reopen in the fall of 2019.
A new copper roof is the first step toward a total restoration of this historic edifice.
A fundraising campaign to support Assumption Church’s new copper roof has now been launched.
For $250, you can purchase naming rights to a copper shingle.
