Jean Beneteau, B.S.W., M.R.E.
Pastoral Minister
jbeneteau@dol.ca | Extension 226

Family, faith and parish life have always been what makes me tick! I have been involved in ministry since my own confirmation. After many years of parish involvement, and receiving a BSW from U of Windsor, I started my career as the Program Coordinator for the House of Shalom Youth Center in Amherstburg, and went on to Big Sisters Association as the west end caseworker for about 6 years. This experience was good preparation for parish ministry.
I served as the Coordinator of Youth Ministry for the community of St. John the Baptist in Amherstburg, Ontario from 1991 to 2012. Also, I was a member of the faculty for the Canadian Certificate in Youth Ministry Studies from 2002-2014, instructing courses in Pastoral Care, and Prayer and Worship with youth.
Next I held the position of Youth Ministry Formation Specialist at the Institute for Catholic Formation at St. Peter’s Seminary in London from 2009-2014. While in this position I worked with parishes on the formation and ongoing work of Youth Commissions, and guided parish leaders to practice family based and intergenerational ministry. From 2014 -17, I assisted parishes in various ways with the development of family and youth ministry, facilitation of retreats, and facilitation of the “Called and Gifted, Discernment of Spiritual Gifts and Charisms” program from the Catherine of Sienna Institute. My passion is intentional discipleship and forming disciples for the mission to which they are called.
I completed a Masters in Religious Education from Assumption University in 2000 and hold a Bachelor of Social Work and a Certificate in Youth Ministry Studies.
My personal passions include family life, church life, reading, music and solitude. I feel so blessed to journey with the people of the Windsor Heritage Catholic Family of Parishes as we strive to follow Jesus and respond to his personal call to his mission in the world
Jessica Jarvis
Coordinator of Youth Ministry

I started my faith journey very early on. I participated in everything I could with my church. Alter serving, choir, Sunday school and COR.
I have an educational background in ECE and Psychology. I am currently studying to receive my certificate in Youth Ministry. I started my career as an Early Childhood Educator from 1998- 2003 before going to work in the Catholic School Board, where I worked for 15 years. In 2018, I became Program Coordinator at the House Youth Centre in Amherstburg. All of these experiences were good preparation for Youth Ministry.
My life’s passions are my family, friends, music, cooking and helping others. I feel very blessed to have been given this opportunity to walk with all of you in our journey with God.

In my early twenties I did a few years of mission work with NET Canada, received an Undergraduate Degree in Drama in Education & Community, and later a diploma as a Mental Health & Addiction Worker.
My heart was always looking for ways to serve my community, and the start of Assumption Cares was the answer to that call. I began as a volunteer, and now have the privilege of serving as the Outreach Coordinator. I’m looking forward to working with all of you to serve, support, and care for those in our parish and greater community.

Zeljka Trepanier
Accounting
ztrepanier@dol.ca | Extension 241

I attended St. Clair College and graduated with a diploma in Interior Design. From there I developed my own interior design business while raising my three young daughters. As life changed, so did my career paths. I returned to school, graduated with a Horticulture degree, and while working in the industry, started my own landscaping business. As a strong advocate for education and learning, I returned to St. Clair for the third time. I graduated from the accounting program where now I have the pleasure of contributing to the Assumption Parish and community as the Financial Secretary for Windsor Heritage Catholic Family of Parishes.
My greatest accomplishments are my three daughters; raising them and watching them grow into ethical, virtuous, and respectable young women has been a privilege.
