The last day you can drop off 2023 donations to the parish office is December 22nd at noon. The last day you can donate for the 2023 income tax receipt at Sunday Mass, by mail and online is December 31st.
PLEASE NOTE: The date of donation is the date the gift is actually received by the charity. When a charity receives a donation by mail, the Canada Revenue Agency considers the date of donation to be the date of the postmark on the envelope. An example of this is when a parishioner mails a donation in December to the Parish, but the Parish does not receive the donation until January with a January postmark. The donation would be posted to January, not December.
This also applies to December donations that are dropped off to the office in January.
