Christ is Risen! Truly He is risen! Alleluia!
On behalf of the Clergy and Staff of the Windsor Heritage Catholic Family of Parishes, I wish you all a Happy and Blessed Easter!
Easter is time in which we celebrate new life. The days get longer, plants bloom again, and the brown and greys of winter give way to the lush green plants and blue skies of the spring and summer months. It is almost as if nature is rejoicing with us at the good news of the Resurrection, and the new life that we receive in Christ through the Paschal Mystery.
This new life is seen most prominently in the lives of our RCIA candidates, who completed their initiation into the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil. We rejoice with the new members of our Faith, and we ask God to continue to guide them closer to him as they begin their journey of faith in the Catholic Church. A special thank you to Jean Beneteau and all the members of our RCIA team who have instructed and journeyed with the newly baptized and received throughout their formation process.
I also want to offer a word of thanks to everyone who assisted in planning our Holy Week Liturgies, and ensuring that everything ran smoothly. This is no small task, and your efforts are greatly appreciated!
As we journey through the fifty days of the Easter Season, I pray that the joy of encountering the Risen Lord may grow in each of your hearts. May this Season be a time of grace, in which we truly encounter and celebrate the gift of God’s love for us, and the gift of salvation that we have received through the death and resurrection of Christ. As the Disciples boldly proclaimed the Good News to the crowds, may we also be inspired to proclaim the Good News of God’s salvation to the world today.
May God’s blessings be with all of you during the Easter Season.
Sincerely in Christ,
Fr. Steven Huber, CSB
