With a stretch of nice weather, construction resumed early this week on the church’s roof.

Workers from AA Metal Roofing removed about two thirds of the old shingle. They then added a layer of new plywood as well as a layer of waterproofing material.

The copper shingles are being delivered by the manufacturer soon and installation should be fully complete by mid July, weather permitting.

Asbestos removal also started this week in the church’s crawlspace. Workers from RC White utilized access panels in the floor of the nave to begin the remediation.
